Department Overview: the Development Infrastructure (DI) team is a global group of software configuration engineers located at Cleveland, Haifa (Israel) and Bangalore (India), which control software Configuration Management (CM) activities in Philips CT R&D department. The team is responsible to define software build processes, tools, and scripts used to build and compile software code into executable artifacts, and subsequently package executable artifacts into deploy-able installation packages and release the product software. The group members provide daily support to the development teams as well as processing constant improvements to the SW build & release infrastructure. Position Responsibilities: In the role of Software Configuration & Release Co-Op you will work with the global SW configuration management team members and support them in all activities with regards to the software product build and release process: installing, testing, troubleshooting, writing relevant documents, write scripts and automation to improve our processes, and more. Among others, you will: - Support the software product version release - burn software on devices, process system installation and run tests to verify proper functioning before release. - Perform regression tests and verify defect fixes during the process of modifications in the core utilities in-use for creating the product installation software - Write or revise documents - test definitions, test reports, tool validation and other - Take active part in process automation - definition and implementation (e.g. writing scripts) Must be a degree seeking undergraduate or graduate student studying Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
