Software Configuration Management job in Irvine, CA is available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technical. A Bachelor's Degree and about five years' of relevant experience is required. This is a contract to hire position, and the hourly pay rate depends on experience and salary history.

Software Configuration Management job responsibilities include:



Responsible for managing multiple software releases sources using source control tools such as GIT, and Clear Case.
Responsible for managing the EO release process. Prepare EOs and release them through TeamCenter to meet customer delivery schedules.
Provide customer software builds for on time customer FSAT deliveries.
Manage assigned FSAT software deliveries all the way through EO release.
Provide LLS software builds for on time LRU ATP deliveries.
Assist engineering department with EIR processing, using tools such as Clear Quest.
Provide training to engineering department on SCM processes.
Assist SCM in the updating/maintaining of SCM tools, and SCM processes documentation.
Makes suggestion for ways to improve SCM productivity.


Requirements:

Good written/oral communication skills
Organized and detailed oriented.
Self-starter. No, or very little, supervision
Working knowledge of WORD/EXCEL/WINDOWS NT/XP
Working knowledge of Linux and Linux shell scripting.
Knowledge of Clear Case for Linux to support source control under Linux
Knowledge of Git to support source control under Linux
Helpful if familiar with JIRA to support software problem tracking.
Working knowledge of Visual Basic/Access/Perl/HTML/CGI/JAVA to support SCM tools.
