Job Summary
Develops software testing protocols that provide desired functionality to the technology solutions, typically for large, complex applications and programs. Implements activities that impact important components / processes of the functional area. This role is accountable for defining, implementing and delivering guiding principles for effective and scalable solutions for test data management using industry standard and open source tools and techniques.  Accountable for working with IT areas to promote and advocate TDM strategies to reduce software project delivery times by providing high quality and integrity test data solutions for project/release testing.
Work is received short- and mid-term assignments that are important / complicated undertakings that require a comprehensive understanding of the organization's current applications, coding languages, tools Implements activities that generally impact multiple components / processes and the work more than one team. Operates within the context of approved methods.
Utilizes experience in order to develop and establish test data management strategy while working closely with multiple IT teams for various projects/programs. Develops and defines processes, guidelines, and standards. Conducts audits and compliance checks. Defines, documents, and implements data profiling, data refresh, and data masking techniques and approaches for QA teams. Defines enterprise-wide test data management frameworks, catering to various technology stacks.  Benchmarks against industry best practices, and coordinates test data management tool evaluation and support.

Job Responsibilities 
  •  Actively involved in the daily operational activities that generally impact multiple components / processes of the technology QA function, such as:                                              
    • Assisting with the build of the required test infrastructure, tools and coverage to ensure the release of top quality software.                                     
    • Developing test plans on pre-release, upgrades and current versions of software.
    • Collaborating with developers to ensure the product meets functional, quality, performance, scalability, privacy, and security through tools, automation and breakthrough test technologies. 
    • Assisting in the development of quality assurance software protocols to support established quality assurance standards.
    • Writing software test plans. Sets software quality assurance test schedules, test plans and protocols and prioritizes and monitors tasks.
    • Ensuring software and program defects in assigned projects or programs are tracked and summarizes and findings are presented to management.
    • Assists in the development of technical/business approaches and new or enhanced technical tools.                                                              
  • Utilizes experience in order to identify relationships of bugs to the software code. Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to less experienced team members. May participate in teaching and training members of work team.
  • Shares information cross-functionally to improve workflow processes.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Collaborates with customers and advises about technical issues on active projects.
  • May assist in live site support and incident resolution that may include on-call rotation.
  • May perform performance testing functions.


Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience in software development and/or technical quality assurance OR a High School Diploma / GED and at least 6 years of experience in software development and/or technical quality assurance.
  • Experience working on at least one product delivery cycle.
  • Experience identifying the relationship of bugs to software code
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).


Preferred Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics
  • Experience developing design specifications, test plans and protocols.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience with performance testing
  • Knowledge of data security best practices
  • Experience working with Data Base technologies, such as Oracle or SQL
  • Knowledge of application /system architecture and environment configurations 
  • Experience with SQL scripting
  • Knowledge of Test Data Management
  • Knowledge of business processes and related data flows and system integrations
  • Experience in commercial and open-source development and testing tools, such as IE HP UFT, SOAP-UI, HP Load Runner, and HP Service Virtualization
  • Development experience (I.E.  C, C++, PL/SQL, Java)
  • Knowledge of DataPower XB62 and XI52
  • Experience working with WebSphere Message Broker (& WTX Transformations)
  • Experience working with WebSphere Application Server
  • Experience with BPM (Business Process Modeling
  • Experience with ODM (Operations Decision Manager)
