We are a small group of engineers who work on the next generation storage product for Oracle. We are set to develop the next generation architecture with the emphasis in scalability, performance, high availability, storage efficiency/quality of service and data life cycle management. We are looking for talented individuals to join this small and energetic team. The work involves developing market differentiating features in NAS File System, Data Protection, and NAS Protocols.
Troubleshoot and test the next generation NAS file system software and its related applications. Participate in development of minor features in the file system. Provide engineering level support for customer escalations. Participate in all team functions with File System Group and cross functional groups within Engineering. Handle critical customer problems and apply better design and implementation for the future product releases.
- Understand the basic building blocks of modern file systems
- Understand the NAS protocols and their interaction with a file system
- Strong system software development skills using C
- Strong debugging skills in embedded system environments
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate, document, and make recommendations to customer support
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel.
