Department Description:

The Fusion Middleware Group is looking for talented Senior and Principal Member of technical staff to perform system testing of Oracle Middleware products.

The FMW team is a collaborative, global organization consisting of engineers with the highest levels of technical depth, programming skill, a passion for quality and tackling technical challenges. You will work in complex distributed
environments composed of backend Oracle databases, Fusion middleware servers, security access through directory servers, firewalls and load balancers. In addition, you will be responsible for load and performance testing to ensure
highest quality of middleware products. You will develop expertise on all aspects of Oracle Fusion Middleware Server technologies - J2EE Runtime server, Web Server, XML, SOA, Web Center, Identity Management, Business Intelligence
products - All technologies that are the foundation of fusion applications and Cloud customers. You will work closely with development teams and develop, execute test plans to ensure quality software releases and product delivery
systems. You will also be responsible for test planning, hands-on testing, and problem reporting.

High Availability - Projects involve testing software systems in the domain of High Availability , Backup Recovery across various products in the Oracle stack (RDBMS, Middleware, VMs,etc) for Fusion Applications.

Enterprise Deployment Guide - An enterprise deployment is an Oracle bestpractices blueprint based on proven Oracle high-availability and securitytechnologies and recommendations for Oracle Fusion Middleware and FusionApplication. The best practices described in these blueprints span many Oracleproducts across the entire technology stack: Oracle Database, Oracle FusionMiddleware, Oracle Fusion Applications and Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.

As a member of this team you will be part of an exciting, diverse,cross-functional group, working with key teams across Fusion Middleware, Fusion Applications and Enterprise Manager Cloud Control to come up with test scenarios associated with the large scale Fusion Applications deployment in Cloud and on-premise for one of the above solutions.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Detailed Description:

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Job Requirements:
  • Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
Additional Details:

Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Design and develop test plans, test specs and test cases based on functional and technical designs as well as industry scenarios
  • Develop and maintain automated tests, execute tests in areas such as functionality,system, certification, and performance
  • Execution of tests, analysis of test failures and tracking bugs
  • Determine product readiness for product releases
Required Skills:
  • Strong experience reading and writing code (Java or C ) and/or scripting tools (Perl, Ant, Python)
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with databases. Oracle Database and Real Application Cluster is a plus
  • Experience in application server - (such as WebLogic server or WebSphere server)
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Creative thinking, good problem solving skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies like vCenter, vSphere, ESX, GSX and Xen, Oracle VM etc
  • Install and configure and manage hypervisors and virtual machines
  • Understanding of various networking and storage protocols (e.g. NFS, VLANs, IPs and subnets,FCoE, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, etc.)
  • High Availability/Fault Tolerance Testing knowledge
  • Linux and Windows experience
