Detailed Description:
Works closely with operations to support various OPC deployments by gaining a deep understanding of OPC architecture and system components, obtaining trouble-shooting and problem-resolution skills. Defines and improves the operation support processes. Works as part of the development team to enhance system monitoring, diagnosis and failure recovery by designing and implementing automation tools and services. Drives to reduce the overall MTTR of OPC system.

Job Requirements:
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical skills in area of distribution system and cloud technologies. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent. Typically ten or more years of distributed system development, deployment, operations and related experience needed.

Responsibilities:
- Refine and improve operation support processes.
- Improve trouble-shooting and best practice guides for OPC operations and users.
- Implement and maintain OPC knowledge base.
- Help define the architecture and design of distributed system monitoring, diagnosis and failure recovery.
- Implement various automation tools and services for OPC system support.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to team members.

Preferred skills:
- 7 years of direct work experience in distributed system design, development, deployment and operation support.
- Proficient with programming languages Python, C, C and/or Java.
- Proficient with Linux and shell scripting.
- Knowledge in storage, compute, security, networking or flash arrays technologies.
- Experience in virtualization and cloud computing

Qualifications:
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
