Oracle VM for x86 is a free server virtualization management solution that makes enterprise applications easier to deploy, manage, and support. Oracle VM provides benefits beyond server consolidation to directly address the growing operational expenses associated with enterprise applications. This new version includes many improvements to simplify and automate network and storage configuration, and includes new policies to deliver application resource flexibility. The software will be used to manage both private and public clouds and will leverage OpenStack open source software.

Oracle VM is a key component of Oracle's desktop to data center strategy. Oracle VM can create large, scalable, reliable, data center and cloud computing environments that are readily managed with Oracle VM Manager or Oracle Enterprise Manager. Oracle VM supports both Oracle and non-Oracle applications and offers customers scalable, low-cost server virtualization backed by Oracle's world-class support.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
Detailed Description
As a member of the software engineering division, you will use basic knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture.
Job Requirements
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
Additional Details
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative software developer t o work on the next-generation virtualization manager. Candidate should have experience with Java, J2EE, object modeling, databases, OOP and building software that does network configuration. General knowledge of networking, VLANs, bridging and routing is highly desired. Experience with OpenStack would be ideal.

Ability to learn quickly, desire to take on challenging assignments, and deliver with high quality is required.

You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
