We are a small group of engineers who work on the next generation storage product for Oracle's cloud solution. We are set to develop the next generation architecture with the emphasis in scalability, performance, and high availability, storage efficiency/quality of service and data life cycle management. We are looking for talented individuals to join this small and energetic team. The work involves developing market differentiating features in NAS Protocols, NAS File System and Data Protection.
As a Principal Software Developer, this person will participate or lead the design, implementation, triage, debug and support of Oracle's FS NAS product lines. Specific duties include design, implement and unit test NAS features and product delivery of NAS features, be the go-to person when critical issues arise, make recommendations to management on critical customer problem resolutions.
Proven track record on delivery of enterprise grade NAS product. Strong file system, NAS protocol (NFS, CIFS/SMB) development background. Strong in development of full HA storage systems, strong C programming in Linux environment.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
