Oracle Labs is a department of Oracle devoted to research. Our world-class research team is focused on real-world outcomes: we aim to develop technologies that will play a significant role in the evolution of technology and society. In the Graal project, we are developing future technologies in the area of Virtual Machines, Compilers, and Programming Languages and are preparing their adoption in existing or future Oracle products. Our staff is mostly based in Linz (Austria), Zurich (Switzerland), Redwood Shores (USA), and Prague (Czech Republic).
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. You will provide technical leadership to other software developers. You will specify, design and implement changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
- Experience in development tooling, programming language implementation, or virtual machines
- Advanced Masters or PhD Candidates highly desirable, or relevant experience in industry
Beneficial qualification: In-depth experience with additional programming languages, experience with performance and footprint optimization of applications, experience with big data and data analytics applications, or similar systems programming experience.Qualifications:
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
