Oracle Active Data Guard is the industry leader for enterprise data protection and extreme scalability. Active Data Guard creates and maintains one or more standby databases to protect Oracle data from failures, disasters, human error, and data corruptions. It is one of the key technologies that powers public and private database clouds. All major public cloud providers use Active Data Guard as a core part of their infrastructure to efficiently manage petabytes of storage and dozens of data centers distributed world wide. We are looking for developers who can design & implement highly scalable, robust, and efficient infrastructure for large scale, big data storage problems. While protection & accessibility of data using our Availability & Replication technology remains one of our main focus, we continue to investigate & develop software aimed as providing a cohesive and uniform view of the data. We are starting several new projects to increase the power of Active Data Guard infrastructure in the areas of application-transparency, hardware variability, and performance to handle even the most demanding workloads. The team is composed of recent grads and senior developers who have many decades of combined development experience in database, systems, and network programming. Experience and/or interest in replication technologies and design trade-offs among consistency, availability and performance in distributed systems, C/C is desired.
