The Oracle Enterprise Manager family of products provides comprehensive solutions for monitoring and managing today's complex IT environments and resolving problems across all layers. The product can scale all the way from customers installing a single database to enterprises with tens of thousands of machines with hundreds of thousands of monitored servers. The Enterprise Manager performance team is looking for a performance expert who can help design, test, and improve the performance characteristics of future releases of the Enterprise Manager Cloud Control product suite.Here's an exciting opportunity to work on Oracle managed cloud solution and become a part of a fast paced and collaborative team !

We are looking for senior engineer who has experienced the product engineering lifecycle and has faced and solved performance requirements in large scale solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Design, execute, and automate performance and scalability test cases for measurement of throughput, latency and response times under various load conditions. Able to analyze results, and make deployment and scalability recommendations based on findings.

• Strong experience in programming languages such as Python, Perl, shell scripting, Java or C , in a distributed, large scale cloud or virtualization environment in Linux/Unix.

• Expertise in performance analysis of complex Java and database applications.

• Knowledge of Java CPU, JVM tuning, memory or object allocation profiling, and various analysis tools such as JFM, Memory Profilers, AWR, ASH, ADDM etc.

• Drive automation improvements from setup to execution to reporting.

• Strong Expertise with analyzing and debugging performance issues on Oracle databases.

• Highly self-motivated that works with minimal supervision, is a fast learner and a team player.

• Creative thinking, good problem solving skills.

• Good verbal and written English communication skills.

• BS in Computer Science or related technical degree required.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
