The position requires a deep knowledge of the Oracle Database , Real Application Cluster , Grid Infrastructure and at least 8 years of experience with performance analysis , high availability configuration , and debugging of these products. Further experience with the Multi-Tenant variant of the Oracle Database are a must.
It also requires good knowledge of operating systems and at least one major hardware platform.
The engineer will be responsible to design and execute dedicated performance and availability test in the development cycles, and will work closely with the development teams with the goal of optimizing run-time performance , failover, recovery and application brown-out times.
Good programming skills in SQL, PL/SQL and Java are required, as well as experience in performance tuning and database design. A working knowledge of Applied Mathematics or Statistics is a desirable skill.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 more years of software engineering or related experience.
