Software Development Director This position is with one of our client companies in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. Recruiting for this client company that is recognized as a leader in their industry, and their business is continuing to grow. We are seeking a Software Development Director as an expansion position for our client company. This I.T. executive will oversee a 15 person team to develop mission critical web applications maintain the competitive position of the company's software products and services. This is a Permanent (Perm) Hire position with a base salary range up to 150K plus 30% bonus potential, depending on experience. The Director of Software Development will lead their B2B Web Team developing applications that provide and augment online tools and services. The Director of Software Development will be responsible for designing and producing innovative software and web development. The Director of Software Development will lead the overall strategy for prioritizing and executing projects to provide an amazing user experience for internal and external customers. Director of Software Development Responsibilities: • Manage 15+ software development staff by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising results • Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as project management for software development and systems integration projects • Develop strategies for improving or leveraging systems (including removing and/or replacing ineffective systems) while remaining in line with the enterprise architecture roadmap. • Define application portfolio strategy in conjunction with business stakeholders • Develop schedules, budgets, risk management plans, and create quality goals Director of Software Development Requirements: • Minimum of 10 years' relevant work experience in a .NET application development environment • Minimum of 6 years' direct leadership experience • Experience building B2B applications for external and internal customers using modern web development techniques • Ability to implement an Agile culture in a development team • Experience software deployment techniques • Experience in forecasting workload , business value measurement, development of key performance indicators for reporting and evaluating performance • Highly personable, with the ability to interface with high level clients This is a Permanent (Perm) Hire position with a base salary range up to 150K plus 30% bonus potential, depending on experience.
