The Oracle Advanced Security team is a diverse group of talented people who are passionate about doing what we can to improve data security. As information flows from corporate IT systems to the cloud, it is more important than ever for us to apply our knowledge and experience to develop security products such as Transparent Data Encryption, Data Redaction to assist in this transition.

This position will manage a group of developers for the Oracle Advanced Security option development including encryption and redaction. The position will involve in functional and design decisions of the product. Provide technical guidance for the developers. Work with product manager to define the product direction, functionality and resolve customer's issues.

Requirements:
8 years of development experience focusing on Enterprise Level security systems with 2 years of leading or managing developers. Familiar with databases, network security, security protocols, SSL/TLS, Kerberos, high availability and performance of large systems, and security market.
Qualifications:
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
