At Workday, all application user interfaces are dynamically generated from metadata - this means that our UI team is focused entirely on building beautiful user experiences using advanced visualization techniques. This team will be responsible for building the core widgets that are the building blocks for the Workday user experience. If you are a passionate leader who loves being challenged, and want to be part of the team driving the next generation of user interfaces in an innovative and dynamic environment, then this could be the role for you. Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience in an agile leader role (e.g. ScrumMaster, Kanban coach, dev lead) in cross-functional development teams
- Good knowledge of OO, design patterns, and modern web frameworks
- Deep understanding of engineering best practice, and relevant tools such as Selenium, git, JUnit, Jira, Bamboo, etc.
The successful candidate will be technically qualified, as well as a great communicator. They will be able to lead and motivate a multi-disciplined team, while constantly striving for continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
- Hire and lead a talented and passionate development team, assisting direct reports with career growth and personal development
- Develop close working relationships with our stakeholders, such as Product Management, Product Design, Product Development, and Customer Support teams, in order to create a world-class user experience for Workday customers and end users
- Lead a team towards the adoption of development practices which focus on quality and value, while increasing efficiency, and minimizing waste
- Foster an environment where communication, teamwork, and innovation are encouraged and rewarded
