The Office Online team is looking for a strong and motivated Software Engineer to help build new and innovative web first experiences in authoring, collaboration, communication and more in our online offering. You will be part of a dynamic, services first team in a data driven org that is passionate about the customer experience. Office Online is at the center of the Office strategy for service-based web productivity. Working together with partners across Office and other divisions of Microsoft, as well as with external partners, we are building and delivering best-in-class Office Web Applications that expand the reach of traditional office client apps by supporting a wide range of browsers and platforms. It’s an exciting time to join as we bring the Office Online front and center!

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

•Own and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, and shipping

•Work closely with other disciplines to shape the product

•Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, be self-directed, and work well with other people

•Foster a culture of being agile, innovative, team-oriented and customer-focused

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

•2+ years of professional software engineering experience

•Solid C++ or C# coding skills are preferred, or relevant programming languages

•Outstanding cross-discipline and cross group collaboration skills

•Ability to deliver outstanding results in fast-paced, dynamic environment

•Deep passion for customers, design thinking, data analysis and technology

•Proficiency in debugging and diagnosing service health issues

•Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, ASP.Net a plus but not required

•Demonstrated experience in shipping high-quality products or services is a plus

•BS/BA in computer science, or equivalent in related technical experience
