The Azure Physical Networking team is looking for people with a passion for both networking and software to join us in building the world’s most reliable cloud. We are designing new network architectures to provide guaranteed SLAs for our data centers, and creating systems to automatically buildout and validate that the network continuously meets its SLAs. We are redefining the nature of software in the network by writing the software that runs on the switches and building massive distributed systems to control the network. This is a high visibility position in an area of large and expanding investment for Microsoft Azure and offers a terrific opportunity for technical and career growth.

We seek candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Reliable, high quality software development.
• Switching and routing protocols.
• Network control planes.
• Switch asic programming.
• Linux kernel networking

A successful candidate will bring more than one of the skills below:
• Experience with network routing, switching and/or SDN technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting network performance issues, including TCP or RDMA.
• Systems programming experience.
• Solid user mode Design and Dev skills.
• Experience with performance optimization of low level code.
• Experience shipping products or services

Basic Requirements:
1+ years of software development experience
