We are a team in Windows organization, that owns the foundation and core technologies for the Universal Windows Application Platform. We are responsible for providing the core platform including various developer APIs and tools for installing, provisioning and managing UWP applications and their app data across all windows device families such as Desktop, Phone, Xbox, HoloLens and many more. Think about working on scenarios all the way from developers authoring their apps, to the apps being installed, updated and managed on millions of users machines across all windows device families.

Our charter includes:
Enabling developers to write UWPs in a declarative install framework, managing the app lifecycle including creation, deployment, updates, runtime, lifetime management, app state and integration with the system. This effort involves deep partnerships with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver on rich end to end developer and end user experiences. Candidates for this position will need to be able to deal with a high level of ambiguity, develop reliable and high-performing platforms with a large number of dependencies, and drive our vision across all of our partner teams. Strong technical, design, and communication skills are a must, and candidates will need to be able to ramp up quickly and deeply in multiple parts of the OS stack.

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years of C++ development experience
• Solid design, coding, debugging and analytical skills
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Experience developing platform components, SDKs, or APIs is a bonus
• Able to work effectively in a team environment across development, program management and quality folks

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Windows architecture and internals
* Experience building Windows Store applications
* BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field
