The Office Apple Productivity Experiences (Apex) team is an experienced and highly passionate team at Microsoft that builds and maintains end-to-end ownership of Office on Apple platforms. The Apex Word team delivers Word for Mac and iOS as well as the WordMail component used in Outlook for Mac.

The Apex Word team is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer with demonstrated experience in design and implementation leadership to join our world class team of application engineers. The team’s work is primarily in C++ and Objective-C with exposure to Cocoa and other rich technologies on Apple’s platforms. You will find a unique and extremely positive work environment for engineers including a strong team culture of quality, innovation, creativity and having fun. Our development team tackles a wide variety of problems, from networking and web services to advanced graphics handling to leading edge UI design on Apple platforms; you can expect to build a wide range of skills and experiences.

Requirements:
• 1+ years’ experience in software development.
• BS in computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong design and coding skills in at least one variant of C (C, C++)
• Motivated engineer who can learn quickly on an evolving set of technologies.
• Passion and commitment to delivering exceptional products and experiences.
• Good communication skills

Additional skills that are not required but that would be immediately beneficial:
• Any Mac experience, including Objective C.
• Cross-Platform development.
• Large scale commercial software development.
