Software Engineer

Position Description

This position will offer the opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing industry. Our software engineers are organized into small teams, working directly with architects and product managers to develop state of the art healthcare products in a highly evolving agile environment. Our engineers share the responsibility of building applications and services that are usable, maintainable, and ultimately scalable to meet user demand.     The key responsibilities for this role are to: 
     
  • Contribute substantially to design, implement, test, and maintain complex systems, quickly getting up to speed on relevant product areas with some direction
  • Exercise judgment to achieve defined objectives and recognize when external input is beneficial
  • Consistently apply knowledge to solve engineering problems of varying complexity and scope
  • Demonstrate leadership in code and product direction  
  • Proactively volunteer for efforts that help achieve the team’s goals
     


 

Qualifications


 

Minimum Requirements
Entry level experience in software engineering

Critical Skills:
 
  • Basic to medium skill level with .NET and/or Java
  • Ability to work in a team environment, communicating effectively with team members
 
Additional Knowledge & Skills
 
  • Basic to medium skill level with at least one programming language (i.e. Azure, Spark, Scala)
  • May require basic skill level with a database concept (e.g., SQL) 
  • Ability to develop in client tier or in server tier
     
    Education
     

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
