Our client is looking for a developer with a strong foundation in microsoft technologies. They will specifically be working with C#, .NET, Visual Studios and SQL. (they do have some oracle but are primarily a Microsoft shop. Mostly windows applications because it is a controlled environment.) This role will spend a majority of their time in the middle to back end of these applications. This is not to say there will not be any front end work, but that will not be their focus. They may be asked to make small changes to the front end based on how the vendor packages the software. They are developing their new applications in C#. They will be working on windows based applications, coding, doing configuartion changes and interfacing with in house applications. This role will be providing maintenance support, doing implementations, testing and coding. They should be willing to do some light reporting. They use crystal reports but it is not necessary to have this exact reporting experience.
1) Experience doing implementations - They have 130+ applications that they support and they are adding to that list. They have several implementations with deadlines of next summer and some with deadlines for the end of the year that they would like this person to impact.
2) Experience testing - They manually test their applications because they are all relatively small applications and an automated system is not practical for them. Their applications are also very specialized for their customers. They would like for this person to be able to test their applications prior to implementing them.
3)Experience doing interfaces - These applications may interface with other existing applications and it would be great if someone could impact this as well.
This person must sit onsite and must be a Greencard Holder or a US Citizen due to federal security requirements.
