Software Engineer II
At Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), we pride ourselves on building fast and scalable services that make developers productive. VSTS plays a strategic role modernizing software engineering to be agile and enable devops. We believe that data-driven collaboration sits at the core of this transformation, through a set of insightful experiences that enable faster, smarter and higher quality releases by software teams of all sizes.
As an engineer on our team you’ll help build our analytical and reporting experiences – think massive scale, eventually consistent, cloud data platform, and visualization. After all, the first step to enabling teams to improve velocity and quality will be to measure it, understand what drives it, and identify opportunities for change. If you are customer focused, data-driven and want to have impact by shipping scaled-out multi-tenant analytic services and experiences then this is for you!
To be a successful engineer on the team, you will participate in and entire data-driven, devops, micro-service lifecycle, releasing changes as often as daily. You should be excited to lead world-class engineering teams to use data to improve developer experience, team velocity, and system quality. You should have experience in engineering or ALM decision support systems, data warehousing, large-scale enterprise engineering infrastructure, data mining and analysis, and shipping services in Azure. You should feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and confident about being able to apply your extensive engineering experience to make pragmatic choices about design, architecture, implementation, quality, and processes. The solutions you help create will have a multiplier effect across all of Microsoft, and all VSTS customers.
