Would you like to join us at the cornerstone of Azure, Microsoft’s cloud platform? We are part of the Identity Division Developer Platform in C+E. You are using our services on a daily basis if you use Azure or Azure Active Directory (AAD). We have an opening in the Authorization team. We are already securing the Control plane of Azure (our service is involved in the access control decision any time a customer manages their Azure VM, etc.) and now we are expanding the service to handle a host of new scenarios, protecting many other core Microsoft services (Azure, Office 365 and outside of Microsoft). This involves solving interesting design and logistical challenges to handle the increased throughput and keep the latency low, handle geo-distribution and keep our data as fresh as possible. If you are interested in learning about security and distributed systems, our team is the perfect place. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, reliable cloud services and loves hard problems.

Ideal candidates:
+ Are great coders in C#, Java or C/C++.
+ Have 4+ years of experience shipping software
+ Are great problem solvers.
+ Have a passion for code quality and simplicity.
+ Enjoy helping customers.
+ Have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or 2 years' equivalent experience

We run our team very much like a (well-funded) startup. We obsess about shipping code fast and we have the efficient engineering systems, operational excellence, and lean process culture to allow us to do that. We embrace experimentation, failing fast and delivering customer value.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
