What You'll Do
You will be working in highly collaborative environment, primarily based in Cisco offices in San Francisco and San Jose, with occasional travel to other Cisco offices globally. You will be responsible for monitoring, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and automation of monitoring tasks, creative dashboarding. Attentively manage Service Requests, Incidents and Problems and champion improvements into the product based on ease of trouble-shooting, monitoring, assurance, etc. You will develop tools, scripts, or processes to make things better and back at the office with your colleagues an working on call/out of hours for critical customer Incidents.

Who You Are
You have 5 years industry experience and 3+ years experience of working in large, complex deployment environments. You also have 3+ years working in a Delivery or Operations team and have demonstrable experience of Linux systems administration such as Red Hat or CentOS
Our minimum requirements for this role:
• Hands on AWS experience
• Experience with git, yum, rpm management
• Experience scaling services and maintaining multiple environments
• Working knowledge of a key database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB or Cassandra
• Working knowledge of networking, switches and routers
• Experience of virtualisation technologies such as VMWare, Xen or KVM
• Experience configuring monitoring tools such as ELK, Sensu, Grafana
• Good scripting skills
• CI/CD experience
• Experience with tools like Sensu, RabbitMQ, Salt Stack, Stackstorm
• Network administration / security
• Solid understanding of technologies such as encoding, DRM, VoD, Conditional Access, DVB, MPEG.
• Deployment experience of cloud platforms, AWS and preferably Openstack / Heat orchestration
