Software Integration Test Engineer I
Software and system testing of all In-flight Entertainment (IFE) functionality for existing systems.
u00b7 Participate in the design and development of all IFE system functionality.
u00b7 Participate in all efforts in the testing and regression testing of software phase releases.
u00b7 Assist and support all engineering efforts company-wide as required.
u00b7 Develop test plans and procedures to validate system requirements.
u00b7 Troubleshoot problems reported for all Panasonic Avionics IFE products.
u00b7 Focal for software development, integration and problem investigation for all assigned equipment and systems.
u00b7 Troubleshoot and analyze root cause of any system anomalies/discrepancies in hardware and/or software
Required Education and Experience:
u00b7 BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree.
u00b7 0-3 years of experience in software/system engineering development and/or software/hardware testing.
u00b7 A strong technical background in development and test.
u00b7 Solid understanding of MYSQL
u00b7 Solid background and understanding of Unix and Linux OS. Familiarity of systems administrator capabilities and command language for Linux is required.
The Test Engineer will test hardware and software integration of new and/or existing systems, functions and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) designed by the Development Engineering and the Software Development groups.
u00b7 Integration test of LRU and system functionality.
u00b7 Ensure all testing is properly documented and submitted.
u00b7 Coordinate activities for systems development, integration, test, and software/hardware release.
u00b7 Responsible for the integration and maintenance of a test rack configuration with regards to the systems installation.
Excellent writing and strong communication skills.
u00b7 Ability to effectively communicate in English, in person and on the phone.
u00b7 Uses professional concepts while applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
u00b7 Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
u00b7 Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
u00b7 Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
u00b7 May possess one or more of the following:
u00b7 Ethernet network knowledge with the ability to diagnose problems at the network layer.
IFE and/or Avionics industry-related experience is preferred.
