You will be writing Use Cases and preparing SW architect components/packages to hand off to the C++ embedded developers
Determining system behavior in the form of Use Cases
You will need experience with IEC 62304 is a or another equivalent IEC
The Software System Architect job responsibilities include:
• Writing Use Cases
• Analyzing requirements from domain experts
• Bachelor Degree
• Five plus years
• Familiarity with the ICONIX method a plus.
• Object Oriented design principles
• Familiarity with PTC Integrity a plus, but DOORS or similar tools acceptable.

Software System Architect
Need a SW Architect not a Designer needs to have worked at the component level not classes.
Use of Enterprise Architecture tool or equivalent modeling tools
Experience developing in an Embedded System developing in C++
OO Object Oriented design principles
PTC Integrity tool for management of SW requirements (tracing), experience with DOORS or another tool is OK
IEC 62304 is a must or an equivalent such as DOD 480 or another equivalent IEC
Needs to understand the operation of the system, how the system (dialysis machine) functions so pump control or fluid management experience a plus.
Architect defines and writes Use Cases. They have written 60 but have another 180 to go. The person has to be able to understand the Use Cases that have been written by others.
Write Use Cases in English (means where others can understand as they are reviewed by customers and developers.)
Determine system behavior in the form of Use Cases. System behavior means user pushes a button and the system does the function properly.
Prepares SW architect components/packages for developers
Talks to domain experts
They do development not in an Agile environment but in iterations. Architect develops his part then sends to developers Architect starts on the next part then sends to developers.
