A team member involved in the development, integration, testing and release of Panasonic Avionics In-flight Entertainment and Communication Systems.
Hardware and software integration / testing of new and existing systems and applications developed by the Development Engineering and the Software Development groups.
Software and systems testing of all In-flight Entertainment (IFE) functionality for new and existing systems.
Responsible for the integration and maintenance of a test rack.
Participate in the design and development of all IFE system functionality.
Assist and support all engineering efforts company-wide as required.
Assist in developing test plans and procedures to validate system requirements.
Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of problems reported for all Panasonic Avionics IFE products.
A solid technical background in development and test.
Familiar with Unix and Linux OS. Basic understanding of Linux systems administration. Linux shell scripting, embedded systems, networking, or a related discipline is an advantage.
The ability to plan and execute engineering activities based on project schedules.
Learn to use professional concepts and applies company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
Possess solid communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
0-3 years experience in software/systems engineering development and/or software/hardware testing.
IFE and/or Avionics industry experience an advantage.
Ability to travel to domestic or international locations as required, up to 10% of the time.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
