Position Description

About the Role:

Seeking career-minded, results-oriented Software Architect who demonstrates excellent leadership, problem solving, and communication skills. Must be a strong team player with an experience base of 8 – 12 years in increasingly challenging assignments.  Background should include design and development experience in production high transaction volume environments on multiple platforms. 

  

Candidate will drive the implementation of next generation payment solutions by participating in the definition, development, testing, and support of middleware and web-enabled applications using Microsoft .NET and open source web technologies. 

Candidate must demonstrate experience in delivery of complex systems in a wide range of technologies and must have currency Microsoft .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core.  

  

A strong background in Object Oriented design and development is required, as is a demonstrated ability to embrace and apply new technologies and concepts.

  

Must be conversant in current industry architectural standards and best practices and able to driving technical/architectural vision. Will investigate technology/industry trends and develop appropriate strategy, and will help lead projects throughout the complete development lifecycle.  

  

Successful candidate will exhibit strong analysis and design skills as well as hands-on development/debug skills and a track record for delivering quality systems on time and within budget. Must be capable of mentoring other software developers in various roles.

The Biller Solutions Division within Fiserv offers hosted technology solutions for consumer billing and payment to companies of all sizes and industries. Our solutions equip companies with the ability to offer their consumer base electronic paperless billing (e-bills) and electronic payments (one-time, card funded, recurring, registered, ACH funded, etc.) in channels including the company’s website, bank or financial institution websites, via the phone or through walk-in locations.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in CS or “hard” engineering from major accredited university 
  • At least 6 years development experience and in-depth knowledge of the following:
    • Microsoft .NET platform
    • SQL and a major RDBMS 
    • Web application development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Demonstrable technical leadership capabilities and experience 
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental design practices
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities while working independently 
  • Interpersonal and relationship skills necessary to work with an integrated team of customers, product managers, implementation specialists and quality engineers
  • Strong communication & presentation skills with ability to interact at all levels of the organization – internal and external 
  • Experience in the financial services space will be helpful.
