DUTIES: Provide technical and business consultative services during the pre-sales and/or post-sales cycle. Contribute to the development of strategies, policies and best practices. Participate in the installation, customization, and integration of an EMC solution. Support Project and Program Managers in the design and development of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work. Design the EMC solution. Prepare technical architectural and implementation design documents and work with the Project Manager to develop the implementation plan. Participate as a technical resource in the pre-sales qualification and the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be delivered in the engagement. Develop and articulate solutions based on a customer's strategic business or technical requirements. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent* in Comp. Sci., Engin(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field (*Employer will accept 3 or 4 year bachelor degrees) plus 24 months experience in job offered or computer related occupation.
Experience must include: 1) Configuring EMC storage products (DMX,VMAX,VNX, Centera, Data domain and Xtreme IO); 2) Migrating to DMX in all OS platforms including Windows, AIX, HPUX and Solaris using Open Replicator; 3) Replication using SRDF, MirrorView, and Recover Point Appliance; 4) Network Protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, FTP, DHCP, FC/IP, NDMP, and DNS); 5) EMC Solutions Enabler and Time Finder; 6) Configuring and automating EMC Symmetrix BCV and VNX Snapview/Clone; 7) Private cloud computing on VSphere platform; and 8) Cisco UCS Servers and Cisco MDS Switches. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
