PRN / Per Diem
Position is in maternal/fetal medicine office. Must be ARDMS certified. Prior OB experience and NT certification required. Fetal echo certification desired, but not required. Outpatient, 1-4 shifts available per month. Hours are 8:15a- 4:15p. No nights/holidays/weekends.
I. Position Summary: The Ultrasonographer 4 performs ultrasound procedures, operates ultrasound equipment, develops film, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Is able to provide care for her patients. Maintains skills and is responsible for the use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. Secondary duties include clerical duties, answering phones, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files, and keeping the unit clean. Assists in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting QC on equipment. The Ultrasonographer 4 performs all procedures in accordance with all standards and policies in the ATU Department of Rose Medical Center.
II. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: none required by the State of Colorado. NT Certification required. Fetal echo certification preferred but not required. BLS certification through American Heart Association.
B. Education: HSD or GED. DMS/RDMS . Four registries
C. Experience: 1 year of clinical experience preferred

Neonate (birth - 28 days)
Pediatric (29 days - 12 years)

III. Degree of Supervision Required: Works under supervision of the perinatologist, although requires little or no direct supervision
IV. Orientation Period: Depends on experience; department orientation usually complete within 2 weeks and competencies within 90 days.
