Sister Emmanuel Hospital (SEH) is a Long Term Care Hospital (LTCH). We are licensed by the State of Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) as a hospital, and each year we demonstrate that our Average Length of Stay (ALOS) is greater than 25 days. We have been surveyed by AHCA and found to be in compliance with Medicare's Conditions of Participation, Life Safety, and other surveys. We also have successfully received accreditation by The Joint Commission .
Our hospital is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Augustine, Florida , and we are co-located with Mercy Hospital. While we are sponsored by the Sisters and share the same values as Mercy, we are managed distinctly. We contract with Mercy and others as "Care Partners" to provide additional complex services so that we can provide our patients with a wider array of care, treatment and services.
