**Job Description:** The Competitive Pricing Intelligence team works to provide strategic insights and recommendations to optimize executive decision making, strategic portfolio alignment, business development, and sales campaigns. Members of the team are strong and independent problem solvers capable of developing a complete competitive picture and provide recommendations with often incomplete or imperfect information. They also have a tremendous sense of urgency, strong attention to detail and accuracy and solid work ethic. We work cross functionally to drive an aligned fact-based view of competitive price structures and positioning.
+ Lead the proactive collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative information to understand our positioning within the storage market landscape + Construct an accurate view of competitive market as a subject matter expert (of competitors and/or market segments) helping with launch and ongoing positioning of products and help inform better business decisions + Synthesize and report all available information into easily consumable findings and support creating competitive pricing updates for executives and Corporate Pricing Operations & Strategy + Support implementation of multiple projects related to competitive position and pricing often serving in a leadership role as well as coaching/supporting other team members + Collaborate cross-functionally to have an aligned view of the competitive landscape + Promote utilization of competitive resources to ensure internal constituents leverage correct intelligence to support initiatives
+ 5-7 years of experience in competitive intelligence, pricing, business or sales operations, product marketing, product management, and/or commercial or sales finance with a proven track record + Must have a passion for learning and demonstrable intellectual curiosity + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience interacting with a range of personalities and styles and an aptitude to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization + Able to manage competing demands and multiple priorities, learn quickly, grasp technical and/or complex concepts and communicate clearly to others, adapt easily to change, and remain flexible + Familiarity with the technology industry a plus…basic knowledge or storage industry’s major vendors required + Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint; experience with other statistical/BI platforms a plus + Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent demonstrated experience); MBA preferred
