PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer NetBackup Master and Media servers
  • Monitor NetBackup jobs, rescheduling failed jobs as appropriate
  • Resolve any Data Domain and integration & replication issues
  • Perform backup/restore requests for Windows, Unix/Linux and VMware environment
  • Generate Daily Status Reports for backup environment
  • Work with system/application owners to run ad hoc backups before/after major system upgrades/updates
  • Administer Data Domain
  • Monitor Mtree replication
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any DDBoost integration issues
Good working knowledge of:
  • Data Domain Administration
  • DeDuplication Concepts
  • Hardware knowledge of Data Domain
  • DDBoost over IP/FC
  • DDBoost for Oracle RMAN Installation, Configuration and Administration
  • DDBoost for SQL Installation, Configuration and Administration
  • Replication (Mtree)
