POSITION SUMMARY:

 

TIAA is seeking a Senior Analyst, Investment Services to support our Fixed Income Trading Operations group.  The ideal candidate will function as a loan and CLO operations support analyst in the Global Securities Services area.  This person will work as a part of a dynamic team in a rapidly growing fixed income trading environment.  The individual is expected to possess strong problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a thorough understanding of leveraged loan and CLO operations.    

 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Complete various loan administration tasks, including trade processing, loan reconciliations, and trade settlement. 
  • Partner and interact with the Loan Administrator, Legal, Tax, and Compliance with regards to trade confirmations, allocations, KYC documentation, settlements, metrics, and industry initiatives.
  • Provide oversight in relevant systems throughout the day and work with internal/external customers & service providers to quickly resolve any trade/settlement related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with traders at all levels and build strong working relationships with them. 
  • Support the settlement process of loan syndications, secondary loan trades, CLO’s, and restructures, including funding and documentation matters.
  • Continuous improvement mindset to capitalize on straight through processing, speed and accuracy of systems and procedures; communicate in functional teams to complete daily tasks, share market and systems knowledge, and preserve and grow strong trading relationships with internal/external customers. 
  • Review trade confirmation, assignment and assumption agreements, netting agreements and funding memos to ensure accurate and efficient closing process for leverage loan trades.



QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • BS/BA Degree
  • 3-5 years of related leveraged loan/CLO operations experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to understand complex workflows
  • Solid understanding of operational risks and controls
  • Proficient utilization of Microsoft Excel and other MS OFFICE products
  • Thorough knowledge of the bank loan market
  • Experience with Order Management & Trade Processing Systems:  (Bloomberg AIM, BBH Infomediary, ClearPar, Wall Street Office)
 
Preferred:
  • Good communication skills and strong customer service skills
  • Team player, detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Self starter with a high level of energy
  • Financial services experience preferred
