JOB SUMMARY: Maintains relationships by: working with a variety of customers, which may include: producers /plan sponsors /actuaries / TPAs and PPAs with the on-going plan maintenance for existing business. This role is responsible for the review of the various Nationwide forms to ensure good order. The role manages several different internal systems, including Iteractive Keynote, Open Image, Seibel, multiple group email, Aims, Relius, Underwriting Database. May maintain a block of business and be responsible for the follow-up on any and all NIGO items and ensuring that those items are resolved. Handles problem solving and process work. For contractual work, may handle more complex/exception processing needed (e.g. DOL inquiries, information on captive account plans, legal detail needs, etc). Supports quality check (QC) of work. Prepare and submission of plan agreements and regulatory forms needed; may include small 5500's, primarily Safe Harbor plans or contractual documents such as Manages several work flow locations as mentioned above. Key contractual also may include agreement or compensation changes to plans.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Operations Division Manager or Unit Manager.
CORE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ May create and upload of Annual Plan Reviews (APR) &/or creation of regulatory fee disclosure notices, census packet generation/distribution, filing plan IRS extensions, creating amendment paperwork, highlights for enrollment kits, vesting files, or termination processing underwriting notices.
+ May administer basic plans by completing periodic valuations, compliance testing, participant benefit statements, determining appropriate benefits amounts, and preparation of participant loan documents and development of amortization and repayment schedules. If contractual, includes (a) Accepting inquiries for, creating and completing review/processing of advisor/broker changes to existing plans (b) Accepting inquires for, creating, and completing review/processing compensation changes for existing plans (c) Accepting inquiries for, creating, and completing/processing change of administrator relationship for existing plans (d) Accepting inquiries for, creating and completing review/processing for managed money account changes or additions for existing plans (e) Accepting inquiries for, creating, and completing the review/processing changes for contract additions or changes (e.g. fixed contract, pricing reviews) to existing plans, (f) Accepting inquiries for creating and completing 408b(2) plan level disclosure and 404(a) participant disclosure relevant for investment addition changes, advisor, or product changes
+ Acts as the Gatekeeper of customer emails and routing to appropriate location. May provide back-up email coverage for Forward Facing as needed.
+ Assists Forward Facing roles in creating products to be delivered directly to clients. Identifies, prioritizes, and delivers workflow, service and technology solutions.
+ Coordinates standard monthly and quarterly reporting, and may provide adhoc reporting for larger cases.
+ Assists in indentifying business needs, service requirements, key issues, alternative solutions and resources for the clients and business.
+ Manages/owns a specific process/function for the unit (i.e., Vesting, APR, etc.).
+ Provides training/on-boarding for new hires to the above processes and workflows, participates in continuous improvement/process pilot/change activities, and represents team on project initiatives (e.g. Fee Disclosure).
+ Conducts research, quality control functions and project work.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Undergraduate studies in technical, business administration or related field preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Maybe required, dependent on case load assignment.
Experience: 3 years related experience, including, but not limited to financial services and retirement plan.
Knowledge: Participation in, or attainment of technical coursework such as LOMA, FLMI, CLU, ChFC, FALU or HIAA preferred. Some areas may require NASD Series 6 license. Knowledge of public sector retirement plans and services or financial services.
