The Senior Associate Finance provides financial, analytical and decision support to the US Business Operations (USBO) Finance organization and helping with two major financial analysis processes; 1) The Latest Estimate Discount Rate (LEDR), and 2) the Spillover calculation (based on the agreement between Ortho and Amgen concerning Epogen and Procrit markets.
This position will officially report to the USBO Consolidations Finance Director, and the responsibilities include performing financial modeling, preparation and presentation of results and ideas to senior management and performing regular analysis to anticipate and resolve issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to closely follow instructions, but also show the ability to take some initiative after an initial set of directions; will provide key support on multiple projects; will be an integral part cross-functional teams; will formulate and clearly deliver complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentations to Finance Management; will develop and use complex business and financial models to help make decisions.
Less than 5% travel is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree AND 2 years of Finance or Accounting experience
OR
Associates degree AND 6 years Finance or Accounting experience
OR
High School diploma/GED AND 8 years Finance or Accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Prior experience with corporate planning software and financial modeling
• Excellent analytical and math skills
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent understanding of corporate finance concepts
• Provocative and critical thinking skills
