Kidde Fire Protection Systems (FPS) Systems is currently seeking a Sr. Associate, Materials Planning for the Wilson location. Kidde FPS is a global organization of close to 900 employees with offices in the UK, Australia, France and Germany and headquartered in Wilson, North Carolina, USA. We design, manufacture and service fire protection systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms.

Utilize material requirements planning techniques to ensure proper material flow to the production line and timely reporting on key metrics.
-Utilize material requirements planning techniques and sound business judgment to generate work orders that support the production schedule.
-Monitor and maintain (surplus-obsolete-reject) inventories within established plant guidelines.
-Forecast, plan and advise management on production throughput.
-Analyze and provide support data showing logic for work order size, lot size horizons and production lead times.
-Analyze and provide critical input and support data for all annual plans and update cycles.
-Research problem documents and initiate correction actions.
-Coordinate and track schedules between production and receiving department.
-Ensure timely and accurate information is available to production supervisors, engineering, sales and marketing, customer service and purchasing.
-Work with engineering to ensure that drawing revisions/releases are incorporated appropriately.
-Work with the Integrated Project Teams to create transition plans for hardware from development to production.
-Perform other duties as assigned by management that fall within the scope and level of this position.

Qualification: -Must have planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing operation
Successful Candidate will:
-Possess a detailed working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
-Possess an expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
-APICs certification a plus
-Knowledge of SAP preferred

Education: BA/BS degree with 2-5+ years of experience required
