JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for executing cross-departmental and internal budget analysis, and supporting product development projects within the Software Engineering organization. Capacity to lead cross-functional meetings related to business process and financial forecasting. Possesses expertise in the product(s) they support, and works independently as the liaison between Software Engineering and other Charter organizations. Possesses ability to be thorough and meticulous, with an eye for detail, and must apply logic and knowledge of the business to all deliverables.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the single point-of-contact within Software Engineering for all inquiries and record-keeping related to contracts, budgets, and inventory tracking. Oversee the functions to gather, analyze, refine, validate, document, and maintain department Statements of Work and other financial records

Analyzes and understands interdependencies, business risks, and risk mitigators which could impact the delivery of new Charter products, services, and processes from a budget perspective

Generate documentation, with minimal direction, through facilitated work sessions or individual meetings with sponsors and stakeholders, and manage changes accordingly

Function as the liaison between the Software Engineering team and other functional organizations (Product, Business Planning, Billing, 3rd Party suppliers, etc.) to properly process and deliver appropriate financial information. Ensure alignment between the budget owner(s) and applicable delivery managers

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance financial reporting within the organization

Ensure all defined business rules/policies are documented and implemented as designed. Ensure process enablers are working as designed (automated as well as manual). Ensure available technology is leveraged to the fullest extent. Redesign business process where applicable to leverage available or new technologies

Facilitates discussions to obtain agreements and commitments between business units(s) and service delivery organizations from initial requirements to final implementation

May lead cross-functional projects related to process improvement and perform other duties as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, or other related field or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with JIRA, General understanding of and experience with both Agile and traditional project management
Skills in MS Project and Visio
Technical knowledge of software development life cycle
CSM certification
