Job Description
As the Senior Business Systems Analyst for Talent Acquisition Analytics you will use data to answer critical questions that will drive Workday's recruiting strategies globally. You will build the analytical tools to manage programs, allocate resources and forecast recruiting results. This will include key performance indicators presented to senior management along with conclusions and insights. You will identify and respond to questions about our recruiting efforts with deep analysis and derive findings based on data. To do so, you will become an expert on our system and our recruiting processes to accurately measure activity and recognize trends. You will also stay up to date on the platform's evolving analytics capabilities and use this knowledge to recommend system enhancements and projects that will drive innovation for our function.

  • Partner with the recruiters, leadership team and program managers to understand current and emerging reporting needs; propose and implement strategies to meet requirements
  • Design and continuously improve weekly, monthly and quarterly analytics, dashboards and ad hoc reports
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in business process that compromise data integrity; implement solutions that scale and streamline data collection globally
  • Serve as the internal expert on Workday recruiting data and reporting; represent Recruiting on applicable cross-functional projects
  • Contribute to the roadmap of analytics and systems projects; work to align the roadmap to overall recruiting strategy, business demand and enhancements to the Workday Recruiting product
  • Lead the design and documentation of global business requirements, recruiting processes and use cases; obtain buy-in from stakeholders on project proposals
  • Support all test phases - unit, system and user acceptance; write and execute test scripts to ensure no defects are released into production
  • Deliver proactive communication to stakeholders on project progress including issues and risks; follow-up with owners on the status of action items and project milestones

  • 6+ years of relevant reporting and analytics experience
  • Advanced skill level with reporting tools required; Workday or similar enterprise software reporting experience
  • 4+ years in a software development environment with specific experience documenting business requirements, writing test scripts and executing test cycles
  • Demonstrated experience delivering analytics projects with multiple examples of solving complex data challenges
  • History of using data to support recommendations and influence strategic decisions
  • Experience with internal client management, ability to build partnerships
  • Successful record of building and improving operational processes to support data collection and data integrity
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings; knowledge of statistical methods preferred
  • Experience with recruiting and/or human resources analytics preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
