This role will take the lead role in researching and assessing learning needs, designing and developing comprehensive curricula, training programs, and instructional materials, including instructor-led programs (group), eLearning, or individual training to meet business goals.



  • Acts as the highest-level training subject matter expert within the business instruction function, recognized as a seasoned technical leader within the training function.
  • Project manages very complex or highly sensitive business instruction initiatives, which may be large-scale within a line of business.
  • When working in teams, takes a lead role and works closely with business resources of all levels and other business instructor associates within and outside the same training organization.
  • Conducts advanced training sessions for highly skilled associates.
  • Regularly consults with senior level management to define instructional needs, and ensures that final program, materials, and communications are effective in terms of business goals.
  • Builds critical relationships with internal clients of all levels and as needed, with external vendors.
  • Researches and evaluates detailed training requirements from business customers as input into designing and creating training.
  • Delivers training either in a classroom setting, virtual sessions, or through on-the-job coaching.
  • Develops metrics to assess effectiveness of training.
  • Develops and maintains procedure manuals, eLearning, or databases to reinforce training or to provide future support. 
  • Able to work within a line of business, often acting as the experienced subject matter expert in selected functional skills and related applications.
  • With guidance and coaching from the Business Instruction Manager, actively participates in and sometimes leads continuous improvement for the business instruction function.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ yrs. relevant business experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Group Business and Group Business Operations (GBO) business units; strong familiarity with business systems and transactions.
