Using best practices, candidate will manage the product level S&OP forecasting effort (units/dollars) for their assigned product family/families. This includes ownership, development and maintenance of a business critical front-end Sales forecast that initiates, frames, and drives key downstream Material/Business Planning Processes. Candidate will provide analytical support and will interface directly with a broad range of management and cross functional positions. Anticipates, develops, and publishes relevant metrics/forecast measurement reporting. Anticipates and takes lead for many team support efforts. Acts as S&OP Tool technical expert and process coordinator on behalf of Product Ops. Actively engages in and drives objective focused projects.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ S&OP Planning and Process ownership - one or more product families (BRM Kick Off through submission deadline through EOQ execution).
+ Active Cross-Functional meeting attendance/participation for key insight gathering and BU interlock purposes (Product Management, Manufacturing, Finance, Allocations, Other).
+ S&OP Forecast development ownership - Sale Book, Shipment, Availability Request - Units/Dollars/ASP/Cost - Volumes/Mix/Attach Rate/Proportions – Geo Specific. Related trend analysis and assumption build-out.
+ Ensures timely and accurate forecast submittal within each monthly process cycle and for any subsequent out-of-cycle maintenance adjustments.
+ Provides S&OP Tool Product Structure/Content leadership/governance (expanded BRM Kick Off effort).
+ Manages product transition planning & assumption gathering/vetting (Forecast Impacts - Road Map/Lifecycle Changes – Ramp Ups/Ramp Downs).
+ Actively monitors forecast status throughout quarter and takes prompt corrective action to ensure smooth quarter execution and risk avoidance.
+ Provides related ad hoc team/business support.
+ Active pursuit of role/product expertise and process continuous improvement.
+ Develops reporting requirements to resolve a variety of business-related problems and to optimize analysis capability. Continuous improvement as necessary.
+ Works with IT or relevant business communities to recommend improvements to systems and reports.
+ Acts as Product Planning technical cross functional lead/representative (IT/PMO/BI etc.).
+ Documents business case analysis and translates business requirements into process/functional design/system solutions.
+ Manages projects through completion including project tracking, monitoring, reporting, and administration.
+ Evaluates business process implications of system requirements and make appropriate redesign recommendations.
+ Provide strategic technical insight with respect to each functional area and share expertise on concerns with integrating with other current systems.
+ Provides coaching to and mentors other business analysts within the organization.

+ Familiarity with EMC Products (Unified, Unity).
+ Previous exposure to Product Forecasting (Demand Planning) techniques a plus.
+ General familiarity with SAP Material Master a plus (BOMs, Where Used, etc.).
+ Working familiarity with EMC’s OBIee/GDW/BI and BOBJ Reporting a plus.
+ Basic understanding around concept of SAP DP/SNP (Demand Planning, MRP).
+ APICs and/or IBF Certification helpful.
+ Familiarity with statistical modeling.
+ Familiarity with SAP S&OP on Hana or other brand Demand Planning Application a plus.
+ Working familiarity with Visio a plus.
