BJ’s is looking for a motivated, energetic and strategic Senior Communications Specialist to join our Corporate Communications team. The Senior Communications Specialist is a proven storyteller with experience across all social media platforms, blogger and influencer relations and media relations.

 

The Senior Communications Specialist must have extensive experience in driving social content and engagement to create brand loyalty and developing sales driving media strategies across social platforms. Experience working directly with social platforms and social management tools is a must.  
 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day social media operations including content planning, creative execution, media buying and channel strategies
  • Support key business priorities and engage Members through brand-building social strategy
  • Develop and execute seasonal and category specific campaigns, including social and media relations
  • Lead blogger/influencer programs for priority categories
  • Collaborate with partners in merchandising, marketing, membership and omni to deliver social programming aligned with business priorities and communications strategies
  • Oversee measurement and analytics
  • Manage external agency relationships
  • Manage social budget and invoicing
  • Identify trends in social media that can help deliver against strategic objectives
  • Support overall Corporate Communications team and objectives in various areas including Public Relations, Social Media, Community Affairs and Internal Communications

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of professional experience in social media, communications, marketing, public relations or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in social content creation, media buying across social channels, social strategy development and blogger/influencer programming
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven storyteller and effective communicator
  • Excellent writing skills

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Available to travel to BJ’s Wholesale Club locations on occasion
