This role will develop and issue institutional policy contracts in accordance with company policy and state regulations.

 

A candidate is identified for this role. 

    

 

  • Develops institutional insurance policies and related forms for highly complex and/or hybrid product structures.
  • Addresses nonstandard assignments and may devise solutions without precedent.
  • Analyzes contracts and reviews applicable laws and regulations to determine variations in forms, laws, and legal requirements; negotiates with state insurance departments regarding form approval.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with state insurance departments regarding form approval, demonstrating excellent ability to influence.
  • May assist senior management in analyzing proposed and enacted laws and regulations to identify required compliance activities.
  • May provide technical support in the analysis of new product ventures and contract-related analyses required for due diligence activities.
  • Files and negotiates final form approval with state agencies.
  • Consults with actuarial, legal, sales, marketing, underwriting, claims, and administrative staff to identify product specifications and issue requirements in connection with product development, product updates, and changes in insurance laws and regulations.
  • Manages contract issuance process and systems; consults on the creation of language to issue approved contract forms and product; acts as systems specialist and coordinates training support for internal clients.
  • May provide technical guidance to junior staff members.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8+ year’s relevant business experience.
