Job Summary: Acts as liaisons between Corporate Ethics and Compliance and the business to develop, implement, and follow up on corrective and proactive controls action plans. Ensures that assigned business units sales and/or administrative processes are consistent with company policy and insurance and securities rules and regulations. Reviews or conducts audits to identify issues and concerns. Assist in creating and implementing corresponding action plans.
Functional Responsibilities: Acts as a liaison between Compliance and the business and assists and/or oversees control initiatives by developing, implementing, and following up on corrective and proactive action plans. Ensures that all sales and/or administrative activities are consistent with company policy and insurance and securities rules and regulations. Reviews internal and external audits, complaints and concerns with compliance and the business and assists in developing corrective measures and implementation. May develop and maintain a compliance review program. Assists senior staff or may perform own audits of processes to ensure compliance with stated procedures. Assists in identifying issues and developing action plans and responds to related inquiries. Performs audits verifying action plans are implemented properly and timely. Consults the business related to proposed and implemented legislative changes.
Escalates issues not being appropriately addressed to senior controls staff or management. Seeks guidance and counsel from Corporate Compliance, Corporate Legal or senior Controls staff regarding controls related inquiries, concerns, and/or regulations. Coordinates training and communication with designated compliance personnel. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Typical Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field. 3-5 years of related work experience
