Role Summary:

As the Sr. Data Engineer on Finance Data Lake team, you will be responsible for defining, modeling and operationalizing data integration for large programs. You will provide the data integration solution/roadmap for interconnectivity of data across different source systems and be able to identify and provide remediation plans for possible data inconsistencies. The candidate should have a diverse technical background including ERP systems (oracle/SAP), Greenplum, Hadoop, and Data Integration.

Essential Responsibilities:

The candidate will collaborate closely with data architects and ops developers within the Finance IT team along with other technical teams within the Software COE to enable data threading and ensure optimal performance, scalability.

+ Provide strong technical leadership for the Data Lake production environments

+ Lead Finance Data Lake data threading, performance tuning, scalability, and maintenance for the Finance IT team, partnering with IT Program managers, client leaders, end users and business stakeholders, to drive simplification andoperations SLAs

+ Drive strategy and growth across operations through integration, adoption and simplification of IT solutions.

+ Evaluate emerging technologies for performance improvement and monitoring to help world class operations and end user experience.

+ Drive and expand Finance Data Lake adoption and downstream services through improved scalability, standardization and global support initiatives.

+ Champion largescale process and technology improvement efforts, to provide mutually acceptable, cost effective IT solutions.liEngage proactively with Software COE, platform teams and vendors to enable data threading, stability, plan and test solutions.

+ Establish quality methodologies and identify opportunities to improve internal processes, application availability and performance.

+ Support, advise, assist, guide and resolve IT issues for client leaders and end users.

+ Design/Develop/Operationalize data integration architecture models for projects from requirements

+ Design integration models, specifications, and other artifacts needed for the Data Ingestion team to be able to execute based on the existing and future states

+ Design integrations to support BI applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability.

+ Provide roadmaps for data integration needs

Qualifications/Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements :

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science degree or related field.

+ 5+ years related experience that involves data integration and business process analysis

+ 2 years experience in ERP internals (Oracle/SAP)

Desired Characteristics:

+ Experienced in supporting IT applications and major project implementations

+ A diverse technical and industry background

+ Experience hands on implementing, tuning and operationalizing data threading across different systems/applications

+ Experience with Oracle/SAP ERP internals

+ Prior experience with Data Warehousing, Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Big Data technologies.

+ Functional understanding of financial systems

+ Strong inclination towards data threading technologies to drive optimization and innovation.

+ Strong team player, collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.

+ Ability to identify potential problems, determine and implement solutions.

+ Excellent leadership, organization, problem solving, communication and facilitation skills.
