We are looking for someone with subject matter expertise to join Capital One Investing as a Digital Product Manager, to support our Advice and Planning business. Capital One Investing seeks to revolutionize the financial advisory and planning space. We are bringing together the best of digital tools and professional guidance capabilities to deliver needs-based solutions designed to help clients better plan for their future and invest more confidently.

You will collaborate with Designers, Developers, and business partners including Sales, Brand, Operations, etc. to build features and experiences to support an aggressive agenda to make Capital One Investing a national leader in the Advice and Planning space.   

You will join a team that builds tools, products and experiences for our two core customer groups: Capital One Financial Advisors and the end Client. Our mission is to empower our Clients to build and preserve their financial legacy while creating deeper, trusting connections between the Client, the Advisor and the Capital One brand. We accomplish this by focusing on three areas: the Client experience, the Advisor experience and the Client / Advisor interaction model.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL?

You will need to work with sales, service and technology teams to support existing features of our digital products, roll out new capabilities and identify new and creative ways to leverage our platforms and digital applications to solve business problems.

Some of the specific responsibilities include:

- Drive the future direction of key digital products and be able to work with Product Owners and Technology teams to develop new features and functionality in an Agile environment

- Work with management to identify new and creative opportunities to leverage our Digital products to support additional business processes or functions 
- Proactively solicit feedback and requirements from a large, diverse user group spanning multiple departments throughout the organization 
- Manage system upgrades, releases, and the change control process 
- Create and manage system configuration specifications and other internal system documentation

 - Work with training and communications group to develop necessary materials for our end users
- Maintain users, roles, profiles, and permissions 
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


    - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems

    - At least 5 years of experience in digital product management
    - Technical understanding of basic systems architecture and networking

    - Robust understanding of the technology, security, and infrastructure underpinnings required for cloud-based services; brings sufficient technical knowledge to understand what is possible and inform key product design decisions

    - Ability to prioritize a large and diverse set of tasks and responsibilities in handling the requirements from a user base from multiple departments 
    - Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills- Creative thinker, open to idea exploration with strong problem solving abilities 

    - Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies (i.e. Agile Scrum) 

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems

    - MBA or advanced degree
    - Experience in the investing or wealth management space
    - Experience applying design thinking and human centered principles to product development

    - Java, .NET, C#, or other object oriented programming background 
    - Experience managing developers in a systems analyst or project manager role
