JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for leading a team of engineers at junior and senior levels responsible for Quality Assurance Testing and Certification for wireless products, technology solutions and engineering designs that include: Wireless Core Network components, Wireless Access Network components, Wireless backend and support systems, certification of new vendors hardware and software platforms

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain the wireless QA Lab.
Drive QA testing tools development roadmap and improve the test process through strategic investment in tools and automation.
Certify new vendors’ platforms and/or software for deployment rollout.
Support the field and technical Operations with debugging and resolving issues encountered in the field.
Produce Technical Bulletins and relevant technical documentation for Operations to deploy and manage WiFi & wireless 4G/5G Radio Access Network infrastructure.
Test & certification of new 4G/5G Radios (eNB), WiFi routers & APs (Access Points) and Controllers products for the field to deploy.
Develop and execute end-to-end QA and certification test plans.
Certify products and solutions design for deployment readiness and hand them over to Operations for field deployment along with the necessary documentation.
Work with other wireless engineering organizations and vendors to resolve bugs and issues identified during QA testing and Certification.
Drive new innovative technologies and approaches for increasing the performance, reliability, and QoE (Quality of Experience) for customers, while driving down the CPE cost.
Support business and engineering efforts to maximize the performance of Spectrum WiFi (public WiFi infrastructure) & wireless products and solutions, while improving the user experience.
Support relevant standards efforts and technology development organizations such as CableLabs, WFA, WBA, CBRS Alliance, MulteFire Alliance and IEEE.
Support the deployment of Wireless and WiFi services for consumers, venues and business customers.
Support technical requirements definition, design and development activities, and assist in opportunity assessment, presentation, negotiations with potential vendors & customers.
Manage relationships with Charter certified test houses and test equipment vendors such as Ixia, Spirent and infrastructure vendors for the purpose of QA testing and Certification.
Provide specific technical leadership as the subject matter expert in the following areas: Wireless & WiFi testing & certification strategy, testing & verification, Technology Solution, lab development & architecture evolution, and technology innovation.
Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommend technical solutions.
Produce detailed time line for each product release and implement effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.
Direct and prioritize the work load of subordinate personnel.
Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable.
Review and approve all business/product requirements prior to the technical solution and development
Participate on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
Perform salary administration and conduct interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.
Ensure financial assurance and alignment.
Monitor cost optimizations.
Maintain continuous process improvements and efficiencies.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Demonstrate a clear track record of excellence in management, leadership, wireless technologies and systems within an organization of a well-known media brand.
Hands-on experience with a broad range of wireless hardware, software and technologies including WiFi, 4G-LTE, Mobile Core/EPC, IMS as well as competency with key networking elements such as routing, switching, and security.

BSEE in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent; MBA preferred.
