Overview
The Sr Director, Global Multi-Organ Therapies will own the global strategy for driving accelerated growth of the Multi-Organ portfolio within Baxter's Global Renal Acute business. This individual will have responsibility for the accelerated adoption and expansion of the portfolio through organic and inorganic means. This role will focus on driving growth of these products through geographic expansion, and through developing and deploying selling materials to differentiate and drive preference for Baxter's Multi-Organ products vs. competitive offerings. Responsible for gaining market share and improving our competitive position.

Responsibilities
  • Establish deep market & customer unmet needs expertise across multi-organ therapy landscape
  • Develop portfolio growth strategy and roadmap based upon customer & patient insights
  • Lead Product Management team to develop targeted multi-organ product lines
  • Interface closely with in-region marketer and cluster/country leads to inform strategy & ongoing commercial success of the portfolio
  • Oversee execution of new product development programs
  • Partnering with Regulatory and R&D, ensure on-time, successful launches of new products & geographic expansions
  • Develop overall evidence strategy & oversee evidence generation for portfolio
  • Optimize product portfolio offering to enhance profitability & sustainability
  • Establish and maintain key opinion leader (KOL) relationships to support portfolio strategy development
  • Initially lead a team of three with the potential to expand in line with business growth

  • Minimum of a Master's degree. MBA preferred.

  • 15 years minimum professional work experience in the medical device/pharma industry preferred

  • Product experience in marketing, sales, business development, finance, portfolio or program management and/or market research

  • Expertise in market research, competitive intelligence, scenario planning, information and data management, quantitative analysis, forecasting and building sales/financial/deal models

  • Significant cross-functional leadership capabilities in a matrix organization with ability to lead, collaborate various stakeholders (functions, regions, country/clusters) and influence without authority.

  • Proven success in driving for results, taking ownership with entrepreneurial spirit to get things done

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including significant experience presenting complex business cases to senior cross-functional audiences and executive committees, a must

  • Experience and skilled at framing and guiding strategic problem solving to inform decision-making, leveraging hypotheses generations, secondary data analyses and other analytical tools. Able to apply these approaches to solving complex and ambiguous problems

  • Experience working in a strategy/management consulting firm advising senior stakeholders, a plus

  • ICU or Multi-organ experience a plus but not required.
