As our new Ports Solutions Sr Director - Digital Product Management, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships & influencing across executive leadership, engineering, user experience, BD and other functional groups to define and execute a cohesive product strategy for our new Ports Solutions business, building upon our exciting new $13MM partnership with America's largest Port (Port of Los Angeles). You will manage a team of sub-product and project managers.
As a domain expert for your portfolio, you will engage
customers at senior-level management and technical levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy,
influence customer behavior; industry direction and execute strategy.
As the Senior PM, you will elevate how we engage with
internal and external software businesses. You will be accountable for driving successful
delivery of products from GE Transportation Digital Solutions, making recommendations on
extending software solutions, and representing General Electric to the outside market, including customers,
partners and analysts.
In this role you will:
+ Responsible for product line performance with targets onorders, revenue, cost & margin. Identifies and influences market trends andopportunities.
+ Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecyclefor sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions.
+ Participate in events and industry associations to influencethe direction for the business and technology in the segment.
+ Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guideteams, establish/refine product management processes and build and mentor highperforming team
+ Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing,sales, internal and external customers, finance, UX, BD and senior managementteams to formulate and execute the strategy.
+ Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses &sub-businesses, partners and customers at director level and above andtechnical expert levels across industries and geographies.
+ Establish strong working relationship with account managers,technical sales and user/developer community.
+ Global travel required as necessary.
+ This role is responsible for a new portfolio ofproducts/solutions with revenue expected to grow from $13MM to $50MM over thenext 3 years.
+ Will have strong financial acumen and accountability.
+ The leader will report to VP of Digital Operations and isresponsible for creating strong working relationships & influencing acrossvarious stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across GEbusinesses, partners and customers.
+ Lead and develop a team of product managers who are businessand domain experts.
+ Will engage customers at director level and above as atrusted partner.
+ Cross functional leadership to define and execute the visionand strategy.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
+ A minimum of 15 years of technical experience along withestablished leadership credentials across product lines.
+ GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towardsrelevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in Maritime / Shipping / IntermodalSupply Chain business.
