Responsible for working with clients in the commercial and defense space to identify core technology requirements and opportunities, and to evaluate technology development and growth opportunities. Will scout for technology partners and affiliates who have core capabilities that could complement or inform GE Aviation Digital's technology strategy.
+ Contributes to highly complex projects that require in-depth domain knowledge in both the software and data science architectural domain areas to create the methodology for a consistent efficient process. Defines, develops and maintains tools to support the methodology.
+ Analyze, design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
+ Provides architectural support.
+ Applies existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations for new products, systems or processes.
+ Presents projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams.
+ Communicates solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizations
+ Scouts and evaluates market trends and opportunities. Uses information to inform technical strategy and development efforts
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
+ Minimum of 8 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Architecture or Digital Solution Design.Eligibility Requirements:

+ Must be willing to travel up to 40%
+ Must be willing to work out of an office located in Evendale or Cincinnati, OH (location flexible). Also, will consider San Ramon, CA; Austin, TX; Washington, D.C.
+ Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to be cleared to higher levels in a timely manner as required.
+ This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
+ Experience in analytics development for industrial applications in a commercial/industrial setting
+ Experience leading and supporting M&A activities from a Technology perspective.
+ Demonstrated expertise in translating customer need into data and analytics requirements
+ Demonstrated expertise in the design, development, verification, and validation of descriptive, applied, predictive, and prescriptive analytics for industrial applications
+ Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java coding principles
+ Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.), using Apache Commons Suite & Maven, Persistence technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, Elastic search etc.
+ Demonstrated expertise in one or more development tools and languages (e.g., R, Python, GoLang, Java)
+ Demonstrated expertise in one or more industry sectors where GE operates (i.e., Aviation, Oil & Gas, Power & Water, Transportation, Mining, Healthcare)
+ Participation in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development.
+ Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural requirements at domain level, aligning architectural requirements with software development strategy.
+ Create, analyze and manage projects that provide direct business benefit; demonstrate detailed knowledge of business operations and strategic direction, including merger & acquisition opportunities; understand industry trends and competitive landscape and the implications for your GE business; partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs.
+ Recommends allocation of budget to meet architectural initiatives critical to business/mission success. Develops the business case for approval.
+ Provides leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout their domain. Define the skills, competencies in the skills and talents for architecture team members.
+ Participates with senior business leaders and subject matter authorities in defining strategies and courses of action that will impact the enterprise.
